Belgravia
Working in full cooperation with the Grosvenor Estate, GCD transformed this property from office space into an elegant and sophisticated family home in the heart of Belgravia. The space was extended with a loft conversion and the existing layout was reconfigured to maximise the flow throughout the property. Bespoke joinery, floors and wall finishes combined with a stunning lighting design creates a memorable and picturesque home for a long-standing client.

Chelsea
This dated house – untouched since the 1980s – underwent a major internal reconfiguration and total refurbishment to create this stunning property centred around the dramatic cantilevered staircase and full height back-lit wall in onyx. Meticulous attention to detail, state-of-the-art lighting design and bespoke wall finishes, creating a seamless space. This project was recently received a UK Property Awards 2019 in the category of Best Residential Renovation Development. 

Crown Estate
Undertaken with private clients, this historic lodge was attentively restored to its former glory after years of neglect. Considerable effort went into the sympathetic restoration of the exterior to soften the façade and the previously added wings. The re-introduction of periodic features, such as: cornices, fireplaces and architraves - combined with contemporary twists including specialist wall finishes, state-of-the-art lighting and bespoke joinery, leaving a stunning finished product. 

Belgrave Square
Situated in the heart of Belgravia, our clients brief was to extend and develop this period listed building. Working closely with Westminster Council and the Grosvenor Estate, permission was obtained to extend the Loft, Basement and Rear Extensions, substantially extending the overall footprint of the house. In partnership with Nelson Design Interiors, the client's contemporary flair was emulated throughout the entire property, focusing on bespoke, unique, luxurious designs.

Mayfair
Working in partnership with NCA Architects, Northgates QS, and Spencer Craig Partnership, GCD were appointed as Main Contractor to undertake works of a major overhaul to restore this derelict six-storey building. The works involved included complete removal of all internal walls, floors and roof. Reconstruction works centred around a bespoke cantilevered staircase and a lift, allowing new floor levels and layouts delivering six outstanding two-bedroom apartments.

Knightsbridge
Our in-house team developed this long-standing family property which had been left untouched for over 40 years. GCD alongside Place Architecture + Design, worked tirelessly to gain planning permission to: extend the rear of the property, change the floor levels, and construction of a new mansard and basement. As a result, left this impressive, light, airy, modern home, while maintaining a sympathetic classical style. The project also experienced several logistical difficulties.

Parsons Green 2
GCD were appointed to help with the top to bottom renovation of this Victorian house in Parsons Green last year, having worked for the client’s family on many projects over the years.  The brief was to open out the house for the young family who were moving in, creating large interconnecting spaces with a light and airy feel.

Belgravia Mews
Our brief was to bring a real feeling of luxury to this project and we did that by helping create a modern take on a traditional mews property. By using the most incredible materials throughout, our team employed cutting edge technology and the very best specialists in their fields to ensure the finished home was quite exceptional.

Richmond Hill 2
The four-floor double-gabled house has a triple height entrance hall with a spectacular glass, steel and timber staircase at the very centre of it.  The design was complex and presented lots of challenges, not least the rainscreen cladding of the front and the rear of the house in enormous natural stone slabs, and stunning brick gables. 

Parsons Green
This tired, neglected house was transformed into a unique family home. A loft conversion, rear and second-floor pod addition combined with a basement excavation dramatically expanded the space and our focus on combining the traditional architectural character of the building with a more contemporary look created a wonderfully warm home. The quality of materials and intelligent simplicity of design married with GCD’s attention to detail deliver a stunning end result.

Kew Green
Having undertaken several homes with clients, GCD were engaged and appointed to sympathetically undertake and restore this magnificent Grade II listed building, which had not been touched for over one-hundred years, to its former glory. GCD's brief and instructions were to maintain the original character and integrity of the house, whilst bringing the interior finish, and services to the highest quality of modern-day standards. The client was extremely pleased with the stunning finish on their home.

South Kensington
GCD were commissioned to transform this Georgian dwelling in South Kensington into a state-of-the-art residence. Collaborating closely with our clients, we blended contemporary and classical design, to create a stunning finish. The existing basement was lowered and extended to create a roomy and light-filled subterranean living space whilst the addition of a rear pod seamlessly expanded the habitable space, all of which was executed to our exceptional standard, delivering the perfect home.

Richmond Hill 4
One of the things we loved most about this project we completed last year was the way the extension sits so sympathetically alongside the original property. Its features include full height glass doors, new basement conversion with an airy feel, which seemlessly connects to the ground floor.

St Margaret's
Our client had a really clear vision on how she wanted her house to feel. With our engagement and client vision, we have developed and maintained many exquisite features of this classical building. The space created is light, homely and a wonderful space to live.

After constructing and refurbishing the lower ground floor, our long standing client engaged GCD to refurbish the rest of the house, renewing all rooms, joinery and bathrooms to a high standard. Hand made furniture, beautiful wall paper and quality porcelain deliver an impressive home.
