Belgravia
In close collaboration with the Grosvenor Estate, GCD transformed this former office space into an elegant and sophisticated family home in the heart of Belgravia. The project included a loft conversion and a comprehensive reconfiguration of the existing layout to optimise flow and functionality throughout the property. Bespoke joinery, carefully selected flooring, and refined wall finishes were complemented by a striking lighting design, resulting in a memorable and beautifully crafted residence for a long-standing client.

Chelsea
This dated house, untouched since the 1980s, underwent a comprehensive internal reconfiguration and complete refurbishment to become a stunning contemporary home. The design is anchored by a dramatic cantilevered staircase and a full-height, back-lit onyx feature wall. Meticulous attention to detail, cutting-edge lighting design, and bespoke wall finishes combine to create a seamless and sophisticated living space. This project was honoured with a UK Property Award 2019 for Best Residential Renovation Development.

Crown Estate
Commissioned by private clients, this historic lodge was carefully restored to its former glory following years of neglect. Significant attention was given to the sympathetic restoration of the exterior, softening the façade and previously added wings. Period features such as cornices, fireplaces, and architraves were thoughtfully reintroduced, blended with contemporary elements including specialist wall finishes, state-of-the-art lighting, and bespoke joinery. The result is a stunning residence that balances heritage character with modern refinement.

Belgrave Square
Located in the heart of Belgravia, this project involved the extension and development of a period listed building in close collaboration with Westminster Council and the Grosvenor Estate. GCD successfully secured permissions for loft, basement, and rear extensions, significantly increasing the property’s overall footprint. Partnering with Nelson Design Studios, the client’s contemporary vision was realised throughout the home, with a focus on bespoke, unique, and luxurious design elements.

Mayfair
In collaboration with NCA Architects, NorthGates Ltd, and Spencer Craig LLP, GCD was appointed Main Contractor for the restoration of this derelict six-storey building. The project involved removal of internal walls, floors, and roof, followed by reconstruction. Central to the design was a bespoke cantilevered staircase and lift, enabling new floor levels and layouts. The result is six exceptional two-bedroom apartments, showcasing the craftmanship and design.

Knightsbridge
Our in-house team, with Place Architecture + Design, redeveloped a long-standing family home untouched for over 40 years. GCD secured planning permission for a rear extension, reconfigured floors, and constructed a new mansard and basement. The result is an impressive, light-filled, modern residence that maintains a sympathetic classical style. The project overcame logistical challenges, demonstrating GCD’s commitment to delivering complex solutions with precision and care.

Parsons Green 2
GCD was appointed to comprehensively renovate this Victorian house in Parsons Green, continuing a longstanding relationship with the client’s family. The brief focused on opening up the space on all floors to create a spacious, interconnected living areas that offer a light, airy atmosphere—ideal for the young family moving into their dream home.

Belgravia Mews

Richmond Hill 2
In partnership with MJA Architects, this four-floor house features a dramatic triple-height entrance hall centred on a glass, steel, and timber staircase. The project faced key challenges too, including supply and installing this bespoke rainscreen cladding with large natural stone slabs on both façades, alongside the striking brick gables.

Parsons Green
This tired, neglected house was transformed into a unique family home. A loft conversion, rear and second-floor pod addition combined with a basement excavation dramatically expanded the space and our focus on combining the traditional architectural character of the building with a more contemporary look created a wonderfully warm home. The quality of materials and intelligent simplicity of design married with GCD’s attention to detail deliver a stunning end result.

Kew Green
Having undertaken several homes with clients, GCD were engaged and appointed to sympathetically undertake and restore this magnificent Grade II listed building, which had not been touched for over one-hundred years, to its former glory. GCD's brief and instructions were to maintain the original character and integrity of the house, whilst bringing the interior finish, and services to the highest quality of modern-day standards. The client was extremely pleased with the stunning finish on their home.

South Kensington
GCD were commissioned to transform this Georgian dwelling in South Kensington into a state-of-the-art residence. Collaborating closely with our clients, we blended contemporary and classical design, to create a stunning finish. The existing basement was lowered and extended to create a roomy and light-filled subterranean living space whilst the addition of a rear pod seamlessly expanded the habitable space, all of which was executed to our exceptional standard, delivering the perfect home.

Richmond Hill 4
A standout feature of this project is the seamless integration of the extension with the original property, respecting its character while introducing modern flair. Key elements include full-height glass doors and a newly converted basement that maximises natural light and creates an airy atmosphere, flowing effortlessly into the ground floor to enhance openness and connectivity throughout the home.
