SCROLL DOWN
A beautiful home, but one that has sustainability at its very heart...
Our clients hired Michael Jones Architects who created a thought-provoking design that complimented the neighbouring homes, helping to secure planning permission despite the borough’s designation as a Conservation Area.
A new build project offers the chance to really create something special and this project we completed in SW London last year was just that.
It started with the demolition of a tired 1930s house that had seen better days. The brief from our clients was to create a bold contemporary home that offered modern family living, but that also sat comfortably in its surroundings.
The four floor double-gabled house has a triple height entrance hall with a spectacular glass, steel and timber staircase at the very centre of it. The design was complex and presented lots of challenges, not least the cladding of the front of the house in enormous natural stone slabs.
But we relish challenges and were delighted to help create not only a beautiful home, but one that has sustainability at its very heart, being awarded BREEAM Excellent Status.
