Current Projects

GCD has a number of exciting project which are currently being undertaken by our experienced team. Most of these projects are working directly with our clients. Many private clients come to us with ideas which they would like to be undertaken on their homes. We often recommend clients with a full service including employing an Architect to produce drawings to submit for planning, a full bill of quantities/schedule of work and defining the scope of works to suit our client's needs and financial budget.

We believe in being open with our clients about the figures and calculations. Our clients see a full bill of quantities with breakdowns of each individual measurement, costs of that measurement, the total element cost and a breakdown of our preliminaries as well as our overheads & profit. We also have to make some good assumptions of certain elements such as decorating and mechanical and electrical if no spec of M&E drawings have been provided. We have a tremendous amount of experience with all types of projects leaving us in the best position to advise our clients of expected expenditure on their build. We believe that the main build cost will not change too much from our competitors, what we allow for is a high-quality finish on floors, bespoke joinery, handmade kitchens and decoration which is exhibited in our Showcase page.

Our current projects are stationed around various parts of South-West London. We are currently completing a Mews House in Belgravia alongside Thompson + Baroni Architects, as well as our fantastic clients who have an incredible eye for detail and quality. An exciting project we look forward to showcasing soon.

We have a number of projects also in the Richmond area. Having completed numerous projects in Richmond/Kew Gardens, personal recommendations keep coming through to the office, which we believe is testament to the quality of our all-round service. We are weeks away from completing a total refurbishment of a beautiful Georgian house, with the addition of a new kitchen extension and library. The client’s brief was to maintain the original character and integrity of the house, whilst bringing the interior finish, and services to the highest quality of modern-day standards. The new kitchen extension looks striking with the help of Place Architecture + Design, Westbury Garden Rooms and Mark Bickerton Joinery.

Recently, in novation with Create Design+Architecture and Alan Baxters Partnership, we have been employed to undertake the construction of four new two-bedroom flats in NW6 for our new clients Interland Group. This is an exciting opportunity which we look forward to progressing as the project develops.

Other Richmond projects include two new projects for two new clients in and around the town centre. One project includes a new extension and construction of a new mansard loft and the other is currently looking to refurbish the interior of the house, while construction of a new basement is in planning. Two exciting project which we look forward to updating viewers on as the build progresses. We have lots of exciting opportunities coming in the new year both in central London and the Richmond area…
